Gedia to settle in Tata

German-based Gedia Gebrüder Dingerkus GmbH will build the company’s first Hungarian factory hall in Tata, in the South Industrial Park.
The construction will kick off in March. Last week the leaders of the company signed a purchase contract on a 7 hectare area. The investment will cost €6 million but it will be only the first stage of a three-year-long project resulting in a 30,000 square meter factory hall.
The production will start next autumn in the first, 3,500 square meter hall with an 80-100 staff and 15 robots making car parts for the Hungarian Suzuki Zrt. However, the vicinity of motorway M1 made Gedia consider supplying Audi Hungary Motor Kft and car factories in Slovakia as well. (Világgazdaság)
