Customs officers seize drugs worth over Ft 60 mln

Customs officers seized marijuana, codeine and morphine worth a total of Ft 60 million (€216,000), in two separate operations, customs spokesman Jenő Sípos announced on Friday.

Officers checked a truck in west Hungary that had come from the Netherlands on Thursday and found 23 kilograms of marijuana worth Ft 50 million. Authorities also stopped a car with Ukrainian number plates at Hungary's border with Ukraine, and discovered a codeine and morphine solution in a plastic container, worth Ft 10 million. The drivers of both vehicles were arrested.
