Construction sector liquidations rise to 400 in September - Opten

Creditors and suppliers launched liquidation procedures against 401 construction industry companies in September, 138 more than in August, but practically level with the same month a year earlier, Opten, which compiles information on companies, told MTI on Thursday.

The September figure is the third highest after 491 in June and 402 in September 2010, Opten said.

The number of voluntary liquidations more than doubled in September to 356.

There were 488 new construction companies established in Hungary in September, 42 more than in August, but 6% fewer than in the same month a year earlier.
