Citroen sales rise 39% in 2011

French auto maker Citroen sold 38.7% more vehicles in Hungary in 2011 than in 2010, the company’s Hungarian unit, Citroen Hungaria, told MTI on Wednesday.

Citroen Hungaria said that Citroen’s share of the Hungarian vehicle market rose 0.93 of a percentage point to 4.1% last year, the ninth highest among all car companies.

Automotive-industry researcher Datahouse reported earlier that Hungary’s vehicle market grew 9.1% in 2011.
