Car part makers join forces

Ten car part manufacturers established the First Hungarian Car Industry Federation in Szekszárd, Tolna County, a couple of days ago, Napi Gazdaság reported. The members are either German-owned companies or suppliers for German car producers, e.g. Audi, Daimler-Chrysler, BMW, and have total annual net sales revenue of Ft 100 billion. The federation will build a logistics center through a green-field investment, which will be able to supply car factories all over Europe, confirmed Napi Gazdaság information Bertalan Szabó, managing director of Jako Metal Factory Kft, a member of the group. One of the most important aims is to get big orders and have a stable market. Members will cooperate in raw material acquisition, will coordinate their development plans, and jointly bid for EU and domestic tenders.
