Car, LCV, motorcycle sales climb 5%+ in 2013

Sales of passenger cars and light commercial vehicles in Hungary came to 67,557 last year, up 5.6% from 2012, Datahouse said on Thursday. Fourth-quarter sales climbed 15% to over 19,000. The market leader was Ford last year, selling 7,878 new vehicles to give it 11.7% market share. 

Opel was runner-up and Volkswagen was in third place.

Motorcycle sales rose 5.3% to 1,895 last year, while heavy commercial vehicle sales increased almost 20%.
