Bosch, BME Inaugurate EV Tech Center

The Budapest University of Technology and Economics (BME) and German engineering giant Bosch inaugurated an Innovative Vehicle Technology Competency Center on Wednesday, according to a report by state news wire MTI.
András Kemler, the managing director of Bosch's local unit, called the competency center "the most significant milestone" in Bosch's 15-year cooperation with the university.
Developments at the center, which will focus on improving electric vehicle powertrains, could appear on the road in 3-5 years, he added.
BME rector Tibor Czigány said the center would bring vehicle development to "the next level".
