Automotive Industry Output up 14.4% y.o.y. in July

The output of the automotive industry, Hungary's most significant manufacturing sector, rose 14.4% year-on-year in July, albeit slowing from a 19.1% increase in the previous month, according to a detailed data release by the Central Statistical Office (KSH).
The segment accounted for 28% of manufacturing output during the month.
The detailed data show the output of the electrical equipment segment, which made up 11% of manufacturing, climbed 9.8%.
Production of the computer, electronics, and optical equipment segment, accounting for 9% of the total, fell 5%. Output of the food, drinks and tobacco segment, which made up 13%, slipped 9.3%.
