Audi starts HUF 32 bln expansion in Győr

The Hungarian subsidiary of German car manufacturer Audi launched the construction of a 80,000 sqm car body plant in Győr, the firm’s Hungarian base, communications officer Mónika Czechmeister told Hungarian news agency MTI today.
Once the plant is built, the Hungarian base will start manufacturing Audi’s Q3 model.
Audi Hungaria Motor has a 75,000 sqm car body plant making bodies for several models. The Győr vehicle plant has the capacity to produce 160,000 cars a year, MTI reported.
Audi Hungaria Motor reported revenue of €7.91 bln in 2015.
