April industrial output up preliminary 6.8% yr/yr

Hungary's industrial output fell 0.4% in April from March according to seasonally and workday-adjusted figures and was up 6.8% in the twelve months from April 2005 according to workday-adjusted preliminary figures, the Central Statistics Office (KSH) said on Thursday.

Unadjusted output in April was up 1.8% year on year. Output rose by 9.9% year on year in the first four months of 2006. In March, industrial output rose 11.3% year on year according to both workday-adjusted and unadjusted figures, and was up 1.5% from February according to seasonally and workday-adjusted figures.
Hungary's industrial output rose 7.3% last year and was up 7.4% in 2004.
