Hungary’s NMHH updates broadband picture
Hungary had 2.169 million fixed broadband connections at the end of November, led by cable with 876,000 homes, according to the latest survey by regulator the NMHH, cited by industry website DigitalTVEurope.net. According to the survey, xDSL lines numbered 775,000 at the end of the month, with FTTx connections numbering 317,000. Magyar Telekom was the leading service provider with a 34.7% market share in fixed broadband, followed by U% with a 21.8% share and Digi with 13.7%. Magyar Telekom had a 59.1% share of the fixed voice market, followed by Invetel with 13%, U% with 12.7% and Digi with 8.9%.
