Hungarian lottery company to go international

History

State-owned lottery company Szerencsejáték Zrt. is planning to join the international lottery, Hungairan business daily Világgazdaság reported today.

The Hungarian lottery company confirmed the rumors of international aspirations, to the newspaper, but they declined to reveal further details on the issue as the final outcome of the negotiations depend on many factors.

According to speculations, Hungary, together with the Czech Republic and Slovakia, could join the EuroJackpot lottery from October, Hungarian gambling website reported citing the international lottery’s German operator.

Szerencsejáték earlier reported about the changes in the legal environment, and said the company’s obtaining of information security certificates paved the way for joining the international lottery market.
