Hungarian cheese maker supports Jordanian army

Hungarian cheese maker Kőröstej won a tender to support the Jordanian army, which has a headcount of approximately 100,000, with hundreds of tons of canned cheddar cheese, according to a press release issued on Friday.
The company was selected from Austrian, Australian and Middle-Eastern applicants for the tender, the company said.
Kőröstej employs approximately 1,000 people in Hungary and is the largest cheese exporter in the country, with 65-70% of its cheese products being exported. Some 85% of all the exported cheese goes to Arabian countries, the press release noted.
“Our aim is to further strengthen our position on the export market”, said CEO Dr. Riad Naboulsi, who founded the company in 1989, according to the press release.
