Grundfos inaugurates new production line

Automotive

Danish pump maker Grundfos opened a new production line at its Tatabánya plant on Thursday. The company's Hungarian subsidiary, Grundfos Hungary Manufacturing, invested HUF 3.8 billion to set up the line, which is to produce permanent magnetic technology, energy-saving electric motors and pumps. The plant plans to put out 60,000 motors this year, and 100,000 next year, with 100 employees, half of them to be hired already this year, CEO László Török of Grundfos Hungary Manufacturing said at the opening ceremony. Grundfos is also about to complete the company's HUF 17 billion factory in Székesfehérvár by this month. As Török said in January, Grundfos Hungary Manufacturing would employ 300-350 workers at the Székesfehérvár plant by 2015. This plant is the company's second in the city of Szekesfehervar and the fourth in Hungary.

SUPPORT THE BUDAPEST BUSINESS JOURNAL

Producing journalism that is worthy of the name is a costly business. For 27 years, the publishers, editors and reporters of the Budapest Business Journal have striven to bring you business news that works, information that you can trust, that is factual, accurate and presented without fear or favor.
Newspaper organizations across the globe have struggled to find a business model that allows them to continue to excel, without compromising their ability to perform. Most recently, some have experimented with the idea of involving their most important stakeholders, their readers.
We would like to offer that same opportunity to our readers. We would like to invite you to help us deliver the quality business journalism you require. Hit our Support the BBJ button and you can choose the how much and how often you send us your contributions.
