Hungary's car market is not expected to start growing again until after 2014, a survey by consultancy PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) shows.

More than 60% of the respondents in the survey said the situation on Hungary's passenger car market would not improve this year, said PwC manager Róbert Rátosi. About 11% said there was no chance for an improvement in 2013-2014, while 78% said there was a slight chance things would get better.

Asked about the period after 2014, 68% said there was a small chance for improvement.

The respondents expect new car sales to reach about 46,000 this year, up from 45,000 in 2011.
