Graboplast will invest HUF 700 million in a technology upgrade at its wooden flooring plant in Kecskemét, Hungary, and expects to raise headcount at the firm by 30%, according to an announcement issued today.

The company hopes to increase revenue by 10%, or HUF 1.7 billion, as a result of the technology expansion at its factory in Kecskemét.

Graboplast anticipates that the current headcount of 175 will increase by 50 leading up to 2016.

In addition to the expansion at the Kecskemét factory, Graboplast is also carrying out a number of developments for which the Hungarian government has contributed a HUF 3 bln non-refundable grant, with the chief aim of expanding the company’s export markets. These developments are valued at HUF 8.7 bln, and will create an additional 120 jobs.

The company has three factories in Hungary, in Kecskemét, Győr and Tatabánya.
