Hungary-based flooring manufacturer Graboplast yesterday announced it has finished a HUF 640 million expansion at its base in Kecskemét, building a new wooden floor varnishing and processing plant, according to a press release.

The latest expansion is part of a HUF 1 billion investment program the company launched in November. The recently finished 760 square-meter expansion is expected to create 50 new jobs at the plant. The company expects revenues to be boosted by approximately 10% due to the expansion.

Graboplast had after-tax profit of HUF 467 mln on sales of HUF 18 bln last year, Hungarian news agency MTI reported. Exports account for 90% of revenues. It employs more than 600 people at its bases in Tatabánya, Kecskemét and Győr, the news agency added.
