Gide expands in SEE under auspices of Budapest regional center
As part of its expansion strategy in Eastern Europe and South East Europe, international law firm Gide Loyrette Nouel announced growth in its Ukrainian and Russian offices and is boosting its activities in South East Europe through its Budapest-based South East Europe (SEE) Group.
Representatives from the correspondent law firms of Gide's SEE Group from Croatia, the Czech Republic, Greece, Macedonia, Serbia and Slovenia and partners from Gide's offices from Poland, Romania, Russia, Turkey and Ukraine participated in the recent South East Europe-centered summit that took place in Hungary under the auspices of Gide's Budapest office.
“We reviewed the economic situation in the SEE countries and discussed the further steps of our development in the region,” said Head of SEE Group and partner François d’Ornano in explaining the firm regional strategy. “A central element of our strategy is to achieve a leading position in the regional countries that have strong investment potential.”
D’Ornano went on to congratulate Gide Hungary for the recent work of its 20-attorney staff, including consultancy in the acquisition of Hungary-based pharmaceutical company Egis by France-based Servier and the handling of a €200 million greenfield investment by LEGO Group.
