Ford sales rise 17.7% by Q3 in Hungary

Sales of U.S. car manufacturer Ford saw a year-on-year rise of 17.7%, reaching 8,666, in the January-September period in Hungary, local unit Ford Magyarország announced yesterday. The firm sold 883 vehicles in September.

The company says it retained its leading position on the market overall with a 12.2% market share, which represents a rise of 0.7% y.o.y. in the month. The market share is Ford’s second highest in Europe, the company adds. In January-September, sales of Ford passenger cars saw a y.o.y. rise of 31.5%.
