Externet offers internet without loyalty pledge

Analysis

Externet Nyrt., a Hungarian-owned internet service provider (ISP), made all of its internet packages available without a long-term committment, the company announced in a press release today.

Customers can apply for a one-month long ADSL, cable or mobile internet package if they chose – a package that is ideal for foreigners visiting Hungary on summer holiday.

“A contract without a long-term commitment can be beneficial for both parties: the subscribers pay only for those months when they use the internet, and if customers are happy with the service they might become long-term subscribers,” Örs Lévay Chairman of the Board at Externet Nyrt. said.

The company will make no commitment ADSL internet service available in all areas of Hungary. Mobile internet will be available in the areas covered by Vodafone, while cable internet will be operated by Telekom Kábelnet.
