Exports generate half of lamp maker Simotrade's revenue

Last year, Hungarian lamp maker Simotrade had revenue of HUF 1.3 billion, of which just under half came from exports, managing director Géza Bajcsi told MTI.

Bajcsi said Simotrade exports to France, Sweden and Finland, but it expects to start making deliveries to Ukraine, Kazakhstan and Serbia too.

The company recently completed about HUF 250 million in developments, supported with European Union funding. The investments raised output by 25-30% from an annual 180,000-200,000 units.

Simotrade's revenue is set to exceed HUF 1.5 billion in two years, Bajcsi said.
