Epson helps prevent domestic accidents involving children
Through the cooperation of Poseidon Special Ambulance and Epson Hungary, the publication of the first edition of a brochure warning about domestic hazards is being printed by Epson’s new all-in-one ink tank system printers, an announcement issued by the company today reveals.
The brochures will be available in GP waiting rooms, childrenʼs hospitals and through district nurses in Pest county, to raise awareness among parents about the prevention of domestic accidents involving children. Thousands of brochures will be circulated in October and November.
The three-edition-long brochure was created with the involvement of pediatricians, toxicologists, orthopedic traumatologists and a gardening engineer, in order to help determine the sources of danger in domestic environments. The first publication focuses on threats to children aged between 1-4, such as poisoning via chemicals, medicine or pesticides.
“Through our work we often see cases of poisoning, which are caused by the inappropriate storing of hazardous chemicals,” Géza Fási, director of Poseidon Special Ambulance said. “Our aim with the publications is to help prevent domestic accidents affecting children, and this is being carried out through our cooperation with Epson. The printed brochures are especially important, as this is the easiest way to inform parents,” the director added.
“As a responsible company, Epson is using its technological solutions to help local communities achieve their goals and to support the Poseidon Special Ambulance initiative to help circulate their publications in large numbers, thereby helping to decrease the number of domestic accidents,” Miklós Fábián, National Sales Manager at Epson, said.
Epson’s printers enabled Poseidon Special Ambulance to print high quality brochures. The new all-in-one ink tank system printers, which are also available to the general public, are a cost effective alternative to laser printers allowing users to print up to 12,000 black and white and 6,500 colored pages.
All new models (L130, L220, L310, L365, L455, L565, L655) are WiFi compatible and have the Epson Connect function, which includes Epsonʼs iPrint application that allows for printing from tablets or smart phones through a WiFi connection. The L455, L565 and L655 models are also compatible with Apple AirPrint and Google Cloud Print services.
