Pharmaceuticals company Egis Rt had consolidated net profit of Ft 10.032 billion (€38.7 million) in the first half of its business year ending September 30, 2006, up 47.9% from the same period a year earlier, according to the company's flash report prepared using IFRS and published on Wednesday.
On an unconsolidated basis, net profit rose 56.2% from a year earlier to Ft 9.345 billion. In the second quarter, unconsolidated pre-tax profit was Ft 3.189 billion.
Sales rose 17.8% to Ft 42.819 billion in the first six months of the company business year. Unconsolidated domestic sales came to Ft 17.219 billion, up 13.2% year on year, and exports rose 21.1% in forint terms to Ft 25.6 billion.
Egis is 50.91% owned by the French company ATP (Servier).
