Startup fuvar.hu has launched an online marketplace for express delivery companies in Hungary, according to a report by state news agency MTI.
Founder Sebestyén Szucsányi-Borza said more than 750 express delivery companies have registered with fuvar.hu. Some 37,000 such companies operate in Hungary, most with a staff of one to four people, he added.
According to the companyʼs website, clients can also submit requests. The registered companies will then try to outbid each other in order to win the submitted task.
Venture capital investors have already put HUF 39 million into fuvar.hu and preparations are underway for a HUF 150 mln capital injection which fuvar.hu wants to use to raise headcount and boost marketing.
