Dutch investors buy vacant hotel
A group of Dutch investors has purchased the Kőrős Hotel in Békéscsaba in south-eastern, a representative of the buyers and the city's deputy mayor said on Thursday, according to news agency MTI.
Deputy mayor Miklós Hanó said the "several hundred million forint" investment was important for Békéscsaba, but the parties declined to reveal the purchase price. Louis van Balen, representing the buyers, said the investors had bought properties in the tourism centres of Badacsony, Tapolca and Gyula and saw visitor numbers were on the rise in Békéscsaba. The hotel has stood vacant for almost 15 years.
