Debrecen aims to draw more SSC jobs with new office building

Local council-owned asset manager Debreceni Vagyonkezelő and construction company HUNÉP Universal laid the cornerstone of a HUF 10 billion office building in Debrecen, eastern Hungary, on Wednesday, according to state news wire MTI.
The 22,000 square-meter A category office building, dubbed Forest Offices, will be completed by the second half of next year.
According to the web page of real estate services firm Colliers International, commissioned as exclusive letting agent and advisor for the project, the complex is being built using environment-friendly, energy-efficient architectural solutions, bright internal spaces and a green roof, acquiring the LEED Gold standard.
The local council hopes the building will bring more than 2,000 shared service center jobs to the city, according to MTI.
A number of multinational companies have shared service centers in Debrecen, among them British Telecom and National Instruments.
