Coop revenue inches up 2% in 2015
Hungarian retail franchise group Coop Hungary had revenue of HUF 571 billion last year following revenue of HUF 560 bln in 2014, the company said yesterday, according to Hungarian news agency MTI.
The number of registered customers participating in the companyʼs loyalty program reached one million and the retail chain has around 1.5 million customers a day, Coop CEO Géza Tóth said.
The retail chain is looking to improve efficiency by reorganizing certain retail, business and logistical services, by renewing its IT system and renovating some of its stores.
The Coop group has nearly 3,000 franchise shops and supplies a further 2,000 stores. The group employs more than 32,000 people.
