Half of this amount has been used to put into operation a new production line making puffed cereal slices. Production has been moved to one location from the previous two and the remaining production hall has been upgraded.

Managing Director Tamás Mészáros said Naponta entered the market for puffed cereal slices in 2014, where Cerbona is now the second biggest brand.

Cerbona is the leading brand among branded muesli bars and breakfast cereals in Hungary.

Naponta posted revenues of more than HUF 3 billion in 2015, up 10% from the previous year, with exports accounting for almost 20%.

The company projects a further 8% revenue increase in 2016.

Naponta purchased the factory of grain company Cerbona in 2012, which had been under liquidation since 2010.
