Cellum completes development of mobile payment apps

Hungarian IT company Cellum recently completed the development of a number of mobile payment systems through a project which cost HUF 174.45 mln and was 70% funded by the European Union, according to news agency MTI. 

Of the smartphone apps, one prototype can identify a product by taking a photo of the item, while another app aids online ticket purchases, and a third manages personalized electrical loyalty cards used for shopping. Cellum group was founded in 2000 and has since expanded via its subsidiaries to several European countries, and has opened offices in North America and Asia as well. Cellum’s partners include Telenor, Magyar Telekom and MasterCard.
