BusinessEurope report faults Hungary for slow pace of economic reform

Hungary got bad marks for the pace of implementing economic reforms in a report by BusinessEurope, an umbrella organisation for business associations in Europe, BusinessEurope head Markus Beyrer told journalists today.

Beyrer revealed some of the content of BusinessEuropeʼs latest Reformbarometer report before its official release on Wednesday.

A survey of BusinessEurope members showed companies think the environment for doing business in Hungary is improving at a very slow pace. They are also concerned that wage increases do not reflect improved productivity. On a positive note, the companies said Hungaryʼs fiscal situation had improved.
