Wages rise 6.7% yr/yr in January-October

Real monthly wages rose 6.7% year-on-year in the first ten months of 2005 based on January-October 12-month consumer price inflation of 3.6%, the Central Statistics Office (KSH) reported on Friday. Gross monthly wages were up 9.4% year-on-year in January-October and net monthly wages rose 10.5% in the first ten months of 2005, KSH said. In October gross monthly wages increased 6.5% year-on-year and net monthly wages rose 8.3% year-on-year.
