The TKI tourism business index stood at +4 points on a scale between -100 and +100 in March, which means that the players in the sector perceive their situation to be slightly improving again after three quarters of a year, hrportal.hu writes.

After a slight increase in January and a significant increase in February, the value of the index increased by another seven points in March; it was last at this level in June 2022, according to the results of the latest survey announced this week by the National Association of Tourism and Hospitality Employers (Vimosz).

The improvement in March was felt in all three sub-sectors (accommodation services, hospitality, and other).

In the other tourism sector, the value of the index increased significantly to a record level since the beginning of the measurement.
