The TKI tourism business index stood at two points in April, on a scale between -100 and +100, according to a report by profitline.hu.
This indicates that the players in the sector perceive their situation to be slightly improving but close to stagnation, the National Association of Tourism and Hospitality Employers (Vimosz) said.
After a three-month rise, the value of the index decreased by two points in April, remaining below its value a year ago.
Based on the most recent survey, the index rose in accommodation services and catering (for the fourth month in both subsectors), while in the other areas of the tourism sector, it fell significantly after a two-month jump.
