Tax office Airport Directorate collects HUF 33.5 bln VAT import
The Airport Directorate of Hungary's National Tax and Customs Office (NAV) collected HUF 33.5 billion of import VAT and HUF 3 billion of European Union customs last year, NAV said on Tuesday.
One-quarter of the EU customs goes to Hungary's central budget.
This year, the Airport Directorate targets collection of HUF 35 billion of import VAT and HUF 3.6 billion of EU customs tax, the directorate's chief József Teleki told MTI. The grounding of national carrier Malév is not expected to cause a serious drop in air cargo deliveries, he added.
