Sziget Festival offers pay-by-the-minute tickets via text

Tourism

Telenor Hungary, Vodafone Hungary and T-Mobile Hungary are providing pay-by-the-minute tickets for the Sziget Festival, allowing visitors to pay only for the time they spend at the music event, Telecompaper.com reports.

To begin a purchase, a text message is sent on the specific day. No cash is needed - just a monthly prepaid or postpaid mobile phone subscription. Visitors then present the confirmation SMS at one of two festival ticket points and receive wristbands.

If someone decides to stay longer, a maximum of HUF 13,500 is to be paid. Anyone leaving before reaching the cap on the pay-by-the-minute festival ticket is required to hand back the wristband at one of the two pay-by-the-minute entry points to complete the transaction and to stop counting the minutes.
