Slovenia tourist arrivals at 6-month high in April

Tourist arrivals in Slovenia soared 1,290.1% year-on-year to 377,612 people in April, the largest inflow of tourists since last October, reflecting low base-year effects and the improving pandemic situation.

Domestic tourists amounted to 158,622 people (770.2% year-on-year), while there were 218,990 foreign tourists entering the country (2,524.4%).

The main countries of origin of foreign travelers were Italy (34,822 arrivals), Austria (30,450 arrivals), Germany (26,663 arrivals) and Serbia (14,668 arrivals).
