Slovenia tourist arrivals at 2-year high

Slovenia's tourist arrivals accelerated 26.8% year-on-year to 1,020,024 in August. It was the highest reading since August of 2019, amid easing travel restrictions during summer, according to a report by Trading Economics.

Foreign tourists surged 100.2% to 584,685 (57% of all arrivals), while domestic tourists decreased by 15% to 435,339 arrivals.

The main countries of origin of foreign tourists were Germany (161,741 arrivals), Netherlands (49,766 arrivals), Italy (49,052 arrivals), and the Czech Republic (41,232 arrivals).
