Slovenia records tourist arrivals in March

The total number of tourists recorded in Slovenia in March stood at 264,002, up from only 24,461 recorded in the like period of last year, the statistical office said, citing provisional data.

The number of foreign tourists who visited Slovenia in February stood at 127,294, up from 12,743 in March 2021, and their overnight stays totaled 725,474, it said.

Most foreign overnight stays in March were generated by tourists from Italy (11% of total), Austria (10.8%), Hungary (9.5%), Croatia (9.2%), and Ukraine (8.5%).
