Slovenia, Bahrain to honor Hungarian immunity certificates
Hungary has reached bilateral agreements with Slovenia and Bahrain on mutual recognition of their COVID immunity certificates, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade Péter Szijjártó said in a message posted on Facebook on Saturday.
Days earlier, Hungary reached similar agreements with Serbia and Montenegro.
Szijjártó has a government mandate to reach bilateral agreements with other countries on recognition of COVID immunity certificates.
Gergely Gulyás, the head of the Prime Minister's Office, earlier acknowledged an initiative by the European Union to introduce an EU-wide immunity certificate but said it appeared the process "could take weeks or even months".
