Rail, bus ticket prices up in September

The price of rail tickets will go up by an average 8.5% and that of long distance bus tickets by an average of 8% as of September 1.
The price of a monthly 2nd class rail pass for a 30-kilometer distance will increase by 8.5% and will be Ft 1,780 from the current Ft 1,640. The price of a long distance bus ticket on a 10-kilometer distance will go up to Ft 151 forints from the current Ft 140, and on a 300-kilometer distance to Ft 4,120 from the current Ft 3,810.
Rail tickets purchased in advance for a set date and trip before September 1 will be valid until November 1.
