Parliament eliminates paper-based guest books

Parliament voted on a package of amendments to the law that will eliminate the use of paper-based guest books in the future in accordance with the request of the profession, according to profitline.hu.
With the measure, long-awaited by accommodation providers, the administration at check-in will be further reduced, and the double record-keeping obligation will be eliminated.
According to the Hungarian Tourist Agency, the measure will enter into force on January 1, 2023.
