Parliament approves legislation expanding retail credit record
Hungary's parliament approved late Monday legislation requiring a record to be kept of borrowers who make their repayments on time, not just those who don't.
The bill was approved with 286 ayes and 29 nays.
At present, only retail borrowers who are behind on repayments are registered in the Central Credit Information System.
The system already contains information on all corporate borrowers.
