Number of registered job seekers slightly narrows in July
The number of registered job seekers in Hungary reached 583,500 according to seasonally-adjusted data at the end of July, down 1,000 from a month earlier, fresh data published by the National Employment Service (NFSZ) show.
Unadjusted figures show the number of the registered job seekers was more than 554,000 at the end of July, almost unchanged from both the previous month as well as one year earlier.
Around 148,900 of the registered job seekers had looked for work for more than twelve months, down from both the previous month and a year earlier, NFSZ said.
There were 41,600 new jobs posted at employment offices in July, down 12.8% from the previous month, but up 36.3% from a year earlier. About two-thirds of the new jobs were subsidized by the state.
