Number of registered job seekers falls y.o.y. rises m.o.m
There were 395,200 registered job seekers in Hungary at the end of October, up 3.9% from the end of September and 19.1% lower than a year earlier, the National Labour Affairs Office (NMH) said on its website.
Some 101,200 people, or 25.6% of the total, were registered as jobseekers for more than one year at the end of the month. There were 72,100 vacancies announced in October. Of these vacancies, 16,000 were vacancies not subsidised by the state. Vacancies related to various public work schemes reached 53,300 of the total. The number of unfilled jobs was 70,600 at the end of the month.
