Number of Hungarians down 1.4 mln in region
There were 10.4 million people, in the Carpathian Basin who professed themselves to be Hungarian at the 2011 census, the Central Statistics Office said. The survey revealed that the overall population in the area dropped 1.1 million from the previous probe 10 years before.
