MTÜ winds up HUF 9.8 bln promotional campaign

The Hungarian Tourism Agency (MTÜ) on Tuesday announced the close of a HUF 9.8 billion promotional campaign that aimed to reach new markets, expand the range of destinations and raise tourism businesses' awareness regarding quality of service, according to a report by state news wire MTI.

Grant money covered 85% of the project cost, while 85% of project spending targeted foreign markets.

To support SME competitiveness in the tourism sector, the agency launched an e-learning site, dubbed Tourism Academy, in Hungarian.
