More tourists spent less in Hungary

Ft 402 billion (€1.55 billion, $2,1 billion), was spent in Hungary by foreigners, while Hungarian tourists spent Ft 236 billion (€914 million, $1,23 billion) abroad in the H1 of 2007, informed Central Statistical Office KSH yesterday.
The number of visitors increased by 5% compared to H1 2006, while the total amount spent decreased by Ft 4 billion (€15.5 million, $20 million). On the other hand, the amount spent abroad by Hungarians grew by Ft 44 billion (€170.5 million, $220 million), compared to the base period. Hungarian citizens traveled abroad 7.9 million times, a 4% increase compared to the base period. (Gazdasági Rádió)
