Around 57% of economically active Hungarians want to go on holiday in Hungary this summer, up from 52% a year earlier. The percentage who want to take a vacation abroad rose to 29% from 23%.
The most popular travel destinations for Hungarians planning trips abroad are Croatia, Austria, and Italy.
Vacationers plan to spend around HUF 338,000 per household, or HUF 126,000 per person, on vacations this year.
