MÁV freight deliveries climb 5.5%
Freight ton kilometers on the network of state-owned Hungarian railway company MÁV increased by 5.5% to 20.7 bln last year, with some 148,000 freight trains traveling approximately 17 million kilometers on the network, the company said today.
While transit deliveries to Croatia, Serbia and Ukraine were down, deliveries to Austria rose sharply and were up slightly as compared to Slovenia, Romania and Slovakia.
