Male managers earn one-third more than female counterparts

Male managers and company heads in Hungary earn an average gross HUF 700,000 per month, 33% more than their female counterparts, the Hungarian employment-portal Workania.hu reported in a newly published analysis.

Workania said that managers and directors of private foreign-owned companies operating in Hungary earn an average gross salary of HUF 838,000 per month, 70% more than their counterparts at private Hungarian-owned companies and 90% more than their counterparts at Hungarian state-owned companies.

The employment portal stated that managers and directors of telecommunications companies earned the highest average gross salary among those working in all sectors of Hungary's economy at HUF 1.17m per month, while the heads of educational institutions earn the lowest average gross salary at HUF 291,000 per month.
